ayep, one true love still books.

i get thrills buying chanel & hermes, but it all dies down in an hour or two.
enter books, major happy thrill the entire day.
and at the end of the day, i look at the covers, read the blurbs, smell the scent of new books and ohmymama the joy.

haven't yet decided if that bodes well, but here's an ode to the one thing that makes me happier than luxury goods ha ha ha.

been leading an extremely aimless life, sleeping late and consequently waking late.
this monday i officially lost almost all my friends to australia again.
and All my friends, if you consider that we've lost charlotte to the world of meeting deadlines and writing proposals.

growing up, how dire you sound.

anyway i do hope that none of you have come 'round hoping for photos because i'm still much too fat to allow photographic evidence.
it's terrible, how i can't get started on doing anything constructive.
my excuse for this week is that i am sick, really i am this is summer there is no need for me to fake, but damnations i'm still not feeling very optimistic about next week, or the week after, or after.

nothing out of the ordinary in my life.

if we are going to nitpick though, i think the biggest news of this week is that my mother brought home a honey roasted chicken for dinner on monday and upon realising that the poor creature broke its wing before it died, i turned vegetarian.
